Sean's quilt
This is a picture of the quilt that I made for Sean. He was going to get to see it the day after he died, but because of the accident I never get to see him again. Now, this quilt is lost but I am so glad I took pictures of it. In some way I still have it. In this way I can share it with you. Tonight has been hard. I have been thinking about him all night. Then at one point, out of no where, Kira started talking about moving away from him and asked me why I moved us. I wonder how we ended up thinking about the same stuff on this random night so many years later at the same time.

Kira shows her dedication.
Here is her story:
Final Draft: SEAN
"GET OUT, YOU JERKS!" My roommate, Tazzijah, yelled at my uncle Sean and his girlfriend, Brandi. "At least let me say goodnight to Alaina!" He burst into my room, "Baby girl, I'm going to come back later on tonight or tomorrow," he whispered slowly. I could smell alcohol strongly in his kiss. "Promise you won't get yourself hurt!" I whispered back loudly. "I promise, and swear across my heart, hope to die in junior high!" he solemnly said. "Now close your eyes." I heard footsteps, the front door, and I knew he was gone.
Sean is driving his motorcycle, Brandi on back, breathing calmly, wind swooshing against his burnt forest hair. A man two cars behind them goes "speedy hundreds", and rams into the ancient motorcycle. Sean and Brandi swerve. As Sean loses control of the direction they are going, they crash into a guard rail.
"Alaina, Alaina, Honey," an unknown voice calls my name. Then I realize, that is my mother. It's extremely dark, and she is sitting on my legs.
"Get off me," I whined, sleepily. "What do you want?" I added, looking at my clock. "It's three in the morning! You better have a good reason for waking me up this early!"
"I,I,I... do. Uncle Sean... died." She started bursting waterworks, while I tried to process what she had just said. "HE'S MY BABY UNCLE, HE CAN'T DIE ON ME LIKE EVERYONE ELSE HAS," I screamed in horror. What I said was true; my dad left, my grandparents died, my aunts died, and most of my friends died, too. So all I had left was my mother, my step family, and my last living uncle, Chas, who I can't see. "He promised." was all I could get out.
That was 3 months ago. "What does she have? What sickness?" my mother asked, frantically. The doctor had received the results to some blood tests I had done almost a month ago. We're at Dr. Siriu's office, "She has an unknown disease, but it isn't contagious, as you can very well see." He turns to me," Do you think you can force that stomach of yours to chow down on something? Some veggies would be good. Meanwhile, I will do all I can to bring your fever down and find some type of cure." I weakly nod my head then manage to choke out, "I want my Uncle Sean."
My mother puts up her index finger, "That reminds me! Ever since my brother died she has been waking up in the middle of the night, screaming in pain." She looks at him suspiciously, "Do you think this 'unknown disease' has anything to do with his departure?" He eyeballed me, "Possibly, I doubt it though. I've never heard of any 'broken heart' sickness. But it never hurts to remain optimistic."
When we got into the car my mom cried. "Please stay alive, I don't know what I will do without you!" I looked at her with serious eyes. "I will try my hardest," I promised, " I can't do much else." The rest of the drive, we rode in sorrow and sadness.
Someone stood at our front door. It was a man, with Brandi, who survived the accident. She must've lost her keys, or something. I couldn't believe she came back so fast with another guy, to try to replace my baby uncle! When I got to the door, Brandi said, "Alaina, I got a call from the hospital." The man she had next to her turned so I could see his face, as I stood in disbelief. My aching body felt good for the first time in a long time, and I suddenly felt hunger.
"Baby uncley?" My voice sounded stronger already, using Sean's old nickname. Humongous arms wrapped me tightly into what felt like a rock wall. "I'm here." He said, happiness cracking his voice. "What happened to you?" I asked, my voice strong as ever, making a soprano echo of his sound. "Long story. The doctors finally let me out of the hospital. I just realized, some of the most happy of times could happen after such a horrible accident." At the moment I couldn't agree more. Then he promised he would try to never make Tazz mad like that again, and promised he would stay with me for a long time. I guess I have to see it he means that.
